Description
Build higher, bounce softer, play bigger!
The Thick Base Add-On is the ideal upgrade for Possum Play builders. With extra height and extra squish, this versatile piece adds a sturdy foundation to your builds, a super-comfy crash landing, or an ultra-cushiony spot for lounging. Stack it, sit on it, jump into it—this base does it all. If you have a Regular Base play couch, the addition of a Thick Base Add-On gives you a spare-bed setup (amongst all the other builds!).
Perfect for expanding your play couch versatility, it’s a must-have for bigger builds and even bigger fun.

Each Thick Base Add-On includes:
- 2x Thick Base cushions - sewn together for stronger builds

Materials
Possum Play pieces and all Add-On Shapes are made of the most durable and safe materials on the market.
- CertiPUR-US® certified foam. Our foam is made without ozone depleters, PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (”Tris”) flame retardants, mercury, lead, and other heavy metals
- STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified, brushed microsuede covers. We love microsuede because it is super durable (stain resistant, machine washable, shrink-resistant) whilst also being super soft and smooth against the skin
- YKK® Zippers. All our zippers come with rounded heads and fabric 'zipper garages' to prevent scratches and snags
Reviews
Purchased the possum play couch in pink initially but decided on a change of colour scheme so have since reordered in babycinno plus added an extra base plus arch shapes making it like a big 3 seater sofa. The best purchase for our playroom. It’s used daily and loved by all 3 kids.
My children (9 and 3) both loved the possum play pouffe we got them for Christmas (an expensive gift but has brought so much joy and play I think it’s worth it!).
I decided to get this folding base for my 3 year old son’s birthday and they have both loved using it as a slide and for walls for den building along with the parts from the play pouffe. The fabric is easy to clean (we have the light beige shade) and the pieces feel tough and like they’ll withstand rough play for a long time.
My husband and I use the play pouffe as an actual pouffe to put our feet up on and it looks so nice in our living room! He also uses the base add-on to sit on and lean his back on when he’s playing the PlayStation so it’s not just for children 😂
I purchased the set as a Christmas present for my nephew and he absolutely loves them. They’re so versatile and the kids play with them for hours building dens. I would recommend the double sofa with all the add ons
Purchased additional thick base to give added height to couch to make it more comfortable for adult to sit on.
I keep adding more to my girls collection!! We love all the shapes and have most of them by now! Can’t recommend enough, the play and sleepovers are limitless!
Thick Base Add-On
Was happy to finally be able to purchase the thick base separately as we love our existing couch itself and were keen to add to it, however when I enquired about a separate waterproof cover I was told I’d have to buy another complete set (which I already have for our existing couch) just to get the cover for the new part. I found this unaffordable and wasteful and had I known about it prior to purchasing our original couch I would have purchased elsewhere.
Hi Elise - we're very sorry to not have a waterproof liner set available for just the Thick Base at the moment - thanks for your feedback to help us think about future products x
This purchase was an addition to previous purchases for my grandchildren. They absolutely love the shapes and versatility and spend hours constructing various dens etc...great product.
